Thunivu -FILMING
The movie was supposed to start shooting in mid-March 2022, but pre-production work took a lot longer than projected. On April 11, 2022, principal photography commenced in Hyderabad, where a small number of sequences had been recorded sans Ajith. Later, on April 22, the actor began shooting for the movie.
In an interview the following month, Kapoor stated that the film’s 36 days of filming were now complete and that the rest of the editing would take place in July–August 2022. Instead of using the set in Hyderabad, a unit from the movie shot a few scenes on Mount Road in Chennai.
The first schedule for the movie was finished on June 10, 2022, and then the crew had a break as Ajith went on a family holiday to the United Kingdom. Several scenes didn’t include the actor.
Vinoth shot a few action scenes in July 2022 near Vandalur, Chennai, when a bridge scene with a bunch of warriors was shot. Fans published stills from the movie’s bank set, which was designed to seem like a “french style building,” in July 2022. The second schedule, which was originally scheduled to film in Pune but was ultimately moved to Chennai, kicked off on August 12th, 2022.
The team had intended to film a few sequences at the Araku Valley high station, 100 kilometres from Visakhapatnam, but it was once more moved to Visakhapatnam. This schedule was finished on August 24, 2022, and the team then went back to Hyderabad to finish filming the key scenes, which they did in early September.
The action sequence was scheduled to be filmed over the course of 21 days in Bangkok on September 15, 2022, according to the final shooting schedule. However, the shooting began on September 25th, 2022, and was finished on October 12th. Patchwork filming continued in Chennai on October 16 after Ajith’s body double had completed the heist scene there.
Six days later, Ajith joined the filming. By mid-November, it was announced that most of the filming had been finished, with the exception of two of the movie’s songs, which would be shot by the end of the month. At Chennai’s Gokulam Studios on November 11, 2022, the producers recorded the promotional song “Kasethan Kadavulada,” and a few days later, “Chilla Chilla” was recorded there as well. The final day of principal photography was November 30.
Stunt coordinator Supreme Sundar created a 360-degree action sequence that was shot in 32 seconds, according to an interview with local media. Ajith was given the opportunity to perform other stunts because even a minor error would necessitate starting over during filming, but Sundar also claimed that he was quite agreeable and eager to carry out the sequence.According to him, the first four tries did not go well, but after making a few little adjustments, Ajith was able to pull off the feat, with the shot coming out perfectly on the thirteenth attempt.
Thunivu -POST PRODUCTION
Post-production work started at the same time in late October, and Warrier and Ajith had their parts dubbed in November 2022. Ajith helped Chirag Jani with the film’s dubbing and translation because of his fluency in Hindi and English, as well as John Kokken, who dubbed for the first time for his portions in Tamil. The film’s final edit was submitted to the Central Board of Film Certification for censorship in late December.
Thunivu -MUSIC
Ghibran, who is scoring his 50th film as a composer, wrote the music for the picture. On December 9 and December 18, respectively, the singles “Chilla Chilla” and “Kasethan Kadavulada” were released. Only the song’s video version featured vocals by Manju Warrier. On December 25, “Gangstaa,” the third single, was made available.
Thunivu-STORY AND OVER ALL VIEW
H. Vinoth wrote and directed the Tamil action-thriller movie Thunivu. Ajith Kumar plays the major role in the film, while a number of other important actors, including Manju Warrier, Samuthirakani, John Kokken, Premkumar, Veera, and Cibi Chandran, also play significant role.
Boney Kapoor produced the film under the auspices of Zee Studios and Bayview Projects. This movie will be distributed in India by Red Giant Movies, and Lyca Productions will handle international distribution.
Ghibran wrote both the background score and the music for the movie. In this movie, a song with lyrics by Vaisakh G, Shabir, and Viveka was sung by Anirudh Ravichander, Ghibran, Vaisakh G, Shabir, and Manju Warrier. Kalyan Master choreographed every dance in this movie.
Thunivu -PLOTLINE
The action movie Thunivu narrative involves a criminal genius and his crew planning a method to attack banks in Chennai, yet the motivation for their bank robberies is still a mystery.
A true story that served as the basis for a heist thriller was the 1987 burglary of the Punjab Bank. With this brief declaration, the Vinoth script will elicit raucous applause from the audience. The third partnership for the company would follow Nerkonda Paarvai (2019) and Valimai (2022).
Thunivu -RELEASE
The movie’s theatrical release in Tamil Nadu, scheduled for Pongal 2023 on January 12, 2023, during the Pongal festival, was won by Red Gaint Movies. The source of the problem is a feud between Vijay and Varisu. Former Pongal rivals Veeram and Jilla performed well at the box office in 2014.
