1.2001-THE SPACE ODYSSEY:
The narrative of evolution is “2001.” Someone or something pushed evolution by putting a monolith on Earth space travel in the distant past (presumably elsewhere throughout the universe as well). Then, thanks to evolution, humans were able to travel to the moon’s surface, where they discovered a further monolith that served as a reminder to the monolith-placers that humanity had advanced that far.
The race to the monolith placers has now begun between humans (Bowman) and computers (HAL). Regardless of what it may be, the victor will advance humanity.

3.MOON:
Sam Bell is employed by Lunar Industries under a three-year contract. He is the solitary employee based at their lunar station for the whole term of the contract. Helium-3, the current clean and abundant fuel used on Earth, must be harvested and occasionally rocketed back to the planet as part of its major work space travel responsibilities.
The only direct real-time interaction he has is with GERTY, the intelligent computer whose job it is to take care of his daily requirements as there is no direct communication link between the lunar station and Earth. He feels that three years is simply too long to live so alone, with so little direct human interaction, and he is starting to have hallucinations as his three years come to a conclusion.
He simply wants to return to Earth to be with his wife Tess and their newborn daughter Eve, who was born shortly before he left for this job. He had an accident at one of the mechanical harvesters with two weeks left and was thrown comatose. He awakens in the hospital at the station after being hurt, presumably with Gerty’s help. Gerty informs him that an Eliza-named rescue squad will arrive at the station to deal with the accident’s aftermath. After he has recovered, he sneakily returns to the damaged harvester and makes an unexpected finding.
As a result of his discovery, he starts to question his sanity, his true identity, the firm, and Gerty’s willingness to act in his best interests. His primary goal is to figure out how to return to Earth on his own as a result of the ideas that follow.

The events take place from the last-minute launch preparations to just after the spacecraft and its three occupants have safely landed on Earth.
The mission is significant because it marked the first time that anyone had set foot on the moon. As the first and second humans to set foot on the moon, it undoubtedly helped make Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin world-famous. Michael Collins, the third astronaut, who was still inside the spacecraft at the time, fared less well.Due in part to the astronauts’ departing the security of the capsule, it was perhaps the riskiest space mission at the time.
