A wife who feels suffocated by her husband’s incessant attention hires a psychologist to make him fall in love with her so that she can separate from him.
Hey Sinamika gives an impression that you are watching a Mani Ratnam film, in terms of making, visuals and grandeur. The cinematography looks colorful and stunning. The bgms were average. Performance wise, Dulquer and Aditi gives a fabulous performance except for the first scene where DQ speaks broken malayalam which I personally felt like. DQ’s character, Yaazhan kind of annoys us in the beginning but as the film goes by, we start liking him. Aditi Rao Hydari looks gorgeous and emotes really well as Mouna.
The songs were a huge negative except for the song sung by Dulquer. There’s a scene with Yogi Babu for 5 mins which was absolutely unecesaary. As a story, this is quite a nice one but when coming to the screenplay, the film falls flat when Kajal Agarwal’s character enters. She is a complete miscast in the film. Her portions actually should makes us feel for her but we literally don’t feel anything. Till first half, the movie was like a fun film but once the story gets intense and serious, it becomes very tedious.
Overall, Hey Sinamika is a one time watch film which has some plus and minus.
