Postives:
The first positives is the 3 powerhouse performers. Fahadh Faasil gets to play the most interesting part as he transforms with the movie. He has more screen space than Kamal Haasan and Vijay Sethupathi. Vijay Sethupathi plays a baddie yet again and brings so much to the character that could also have been repetitive and usual type of villain. Kamal Haasan is back in action after a huge gap and he has nailed it as usual. I don’t have to describe more about Kamal’s acting. Suriya has done a cameo role for 5 mins which leads to the next part and his presence was so freaking amazing. Wished they showed him for some more minutes.
Lokesh Kanagaraj deserves all the appreciation. He treats all his characters as the heroes of their parts. He gives importance to all the 3 performers. Anirudh’s bgms sounds new and different compared to his other films, whic I’m saying it in a good way. Girish Gangadharan’s cinematography looks slick and the usage of robotic camera in action sequences was so bloody good. Action choreography by Anbariv was killer. The shootouts and the hand combat scenes are amazing. It’s a treat for Kamal Haasan fans.
Negatives:
The movie was so predictable and story is something we are used to. The VFX could have been better. It was kinda bad. The duration of the film could have been little shorter.
